Liam if your using hu4 or hu08 .. and try running a hunt from inside the editor it will crash. Exit the editor and try it from the main mission screen. It's a pain I know but it's the only work around we have in hu4 and hu08.

Hello LadyHawk i having prism3d probs i dont know if its actualy crashing though i dont even get to play anything 
I bought Huntingunlimited 2009 a while ago and have played it on the my current puter im typing this on right now and didnt have anyprobs running it at all.
But there are 3 things that has changed though (1) i went from 2gigs of ram to 6gigs of ram (2) I now have a lcd screen which i cant see either of them being the issue and (3) im now running vista ultimate 64bit which i think is my main prob when i got hu2009 i was running xp home and pro and had now probs.
The game loads great with no hangups of any kind but as soon as i click on the hunt button it goes through that loading fine then when it gets into the game it freezez up i can see all my weapon and charecter at the bottom of the screen and the wind and direction up top but i have nothing els and the sound cutting in and out i do have DxDiag but i cant seem to find a prism3d crash log but ill look again if it helps i did take a pic of my screen as well.
PS id like to get it to run soon im going to go nuts in the off season of hunting and turkey season is almost over to lol  |

Welcome again to the site, twisted 
More than likely it's the Vista 64 . The game came out just before Vista came out.
I can not promise you an easy fix but will try and help you out. First make sure you have all of Vista's update.
When you installed hu09 did you let it install the directx 9c too off the disk??
The prism3d CRASH log, if it created one is in your hu09 folder under your program files. It will say CRASH under the type of file it is. .. (mine had a problem creating them sometimes... when it would do a prism3d crash).
Then you have your prism3d text log which is under the my documents and hu09 folder.
Try the game once more and then send me a current dxdiag, prism3d text log, and if it made a prism3d crash file send that too. Photo and explaination along with your nick on the e-mail will help.
You might need to update your graphic driver or something else. Won't know until I look at your dxdiag and the other files.

i have that whole prism 3d problem obviously and i can't play hu3 or hu2010. i need help cuz i'm not computer smart  i also can't even get to the main menu if that helps. and also the hu3 worked for like 4 years and then it said that sys_no_grp or what ever it is. si any help would be appretiated |

..it tells how to create a dxdiag text log. I need that sent to me. Your prism3d log will be under your c:\my documents\hunting unlimited 2010 ..I need a copy of that too. e-mail both to me please.

You can try these emails too, tech@valusoft.com and valusoft.cs@digitalriver.com.
But don't get any hopes... i've been trying to contact them for about a month and all they had replied was a automated response email will all the BS that they have on their site...
btw, if anyone (legal game owners) have the same prob (no graphics / ati cards), send them a email demanding an update for the games! The more, the better!

But they DO make updates Ita. The last update for HU4 is HU 2010.
